About
Hey there! I'm Tasha.
A barefoot visual storyteller, serial mojito sipper, brand enthusiast and content marketer obsessed in empowering local women entrepreneurs and intentionally exploring the many wonders of island living.
Most days you can find me pep talkin’ to my tribe, collecting vintage cameras and coffee mugs (yes I have a thing with cuppas!) wishing I was attending the Live Aid Concert back in 1985 or just strolling on the beach soaking up vitamin sea.
my story
People often refer to me as empathetic, kind-hearted bohemian or...Pocahontas!
After blogging for 5 years, my soon-to-be 30 year old self convinced me to take a bold step and reshape my purpose. Today I support small business owners leverage on their brand and also curate content exclusively for destination related businesses.
I believe in living more by working less, but most importantly, infusing energy in what lights me up: preserving our earth, supporting our local communities, empowering the talented hearts and the mind shifters.
If you’re dying to hear more
Here are five things you might not know about me:
1. This isn’t my first blog! My first attempt to blogging was 10 years ago, writing for ‘She Is An Islander’. It didn’t take off until I re-evaluated my intentions and added a pinch of perseverance. Enters Lovely Brunette.
2. I have a coffee machine in my room. Coffee beans a lot to me (pun intended) so much that I launched a small crafty biz, recycling Nespresso capsules into minimalist jewelry.
3. I don’t know how to ride a bicycle till this date. Send help!
4. JAWS is one of my whole time favourite movie. I have so much respect for those prehistoric creatures that I have been able to tick off a dream from my bucket list: Shark diving in Cape Town
5. Will always trade diamond jewelry for a ring that has a story to tell. Can’t tame the island gal!
