After digging a little into the brand, I found out that it was created by a visionary woman, Carmen Vidal. With her husband, they created their own personalized formulations in their laboratory and she started selling her creams door-to-door! The original algae peel-off facial mask was introduced in 1979. It gives me shivers thinking how the timeless skincare techniques from a peel-off facial are still delivering fantastic results today, standing the test of time in the best way possible!

My journey to experiencing my first Casmara facial began with the delightful scenery of swaying palm trees and the serene charm of the Matala Lifestyle Estate & Spa. We were blessed to have such sunny weather and it definitely contributed to making this week’s day a relaxing one! As we stepped out of the car, I saw Dora and immediately heard ‘I love your dress!’. Her warmth and friendly welcome made us feel like we were visiting a friend and it was brilliant.

Solopreneur and Founder of Blink Beauty, Dora, invited us to a charming cabin next to her home where she created her private skincare cocoon. We were meeting for the first time, but here we were chatting casually about the best spots to eat in Tamarin and our mutual love for ceramic mugs! After a couple of laughs (and our lunch plans settled), I made my way to the treatment room for my first ever Casmara Facial.

The skincare treatment began with a personalized consultation to understand my unique skincare needs and concerns. Putting skincare on the back-burner for months led to an impressive buildup of whiteheads and blackheads (not my proudest moment!). So my tailor-made facial had already paved its way during the consultation. Keeping it short and sweet, let’s dive into the steps of this remarkable facial!

Step 1: A cleanser was applied to gently remove make-up, preparing the skin for the facial and keeping it hydrated.

Step 2: An oxygenating mask was applied to help purify and energize the skin.

Step 3: Using an ultrasonic skin scrubber, Dora removed the white heads and the dead skin.

Step 4: Excess of blackheads and whiteheads were then removed.

Step 5: A cleanser was applied to clean and protect the skin.

Step 6: A hot towel was applied to the face.

Step 7: The AHA moment! The jelly mask was applied.

Containing properties of Marine Algae extracts, It restores the skin's hydration balance.

The draining effects also reduces puffiness and dark circles under the eyes.

Step 8: Vitamin serums were gently massaged into the skin.

Step 9: A soothing face massage was done.

Step 12: Protective goggles were applied.

Step 13: Blue light led therapy was done, reducing redness and inflammation in the skin.

My Post-Facial Glow

I got to say, the transformation in my skin was unbelievable. It felt rejuvenated, radiant, and incredibly smooth. The Casmara facial had not just revitalized my skin but also boosted my self-confidence.
