Vision Board 2018

Happy 2018 lovely readers! Well not all that happy since we are actually going through a cyclone (thank you Berguitta). As we are under a cyclone warning class 3, I decided to keep myself busy indoors. Getting crafty took my mind off the bad weather.

Have you ever worked on a vision board? This helps you visualize what you want for the year. It can be pictures and quotes that reflects your dreams and motivations. For example: you want to be more environmental conscious? Find pictures that matches this idea and stick it to your board! You can check the blog post I made back in 2015. I share easy tips to manifest your goals clearly and bring your visions to life!

The rain is pouring outside and I’m not even mentioning about the strong winds. I decided to create a little cocoon right on the floor for the crafting instead of sitting at a table (way too serious!). For the setup I placed my beach roundie, had one of our indoor plants and a Himalayan salt lamp to set the mood. I also got myself a HOT caremelito coffee in a new cuppa (beautiful Christmas gift from She is a multipotentialite – THANK YOU!) Oh side note, for those who don’t know it yet, I have a thing with mugs! I collect them all and can’t stop drooling when I see a pretty one! Today I have 29 mugs!

Having a dedicated space for the creation of your vision board is important. This will help you focus on the images you are pinning to your board. Take this moment to be fully present during the process. Here is my dog, just chilling with the motivational words 🙂

This year I decided to have my word for 2018 placed on the board: Brave. Looking back, I realized that I missed beautiful opportunities because I wasn’t brave enough to embrace them. My word, placed in the center of the vision board will inspire me everyday to take the leap instead of staying in my comfort zone.

Something worth the share, I take vision boards VERY seriously! I believe that it does actually work and those past years showed me that manifesting your dreams can come true. Here are 2 MAJOR tips for you to work on lovely readers. I use Pinterest to gather all the visuals I feel reflects my goals and objectives. Once this is done, I print them all in a squared shape (same size for every picture). This helps me being clear in what I want.

Here is the thing with vision boards, it does not work without you making the effort. Take a moment each day to meditate on your board and visualize those images coming to life. I place my board on the wall next to my workspace, so that I can see it everyday.

I truly hope that this post will inspire or motivate you to work on your vision board and your word!

Bring it on 2018! Cheers to a new year of daring adventures, being fully present, cultivating a community of go-getters and simply living bravely.
